Cobry's Kilted Bonanza is a cheeky little game we built for Google Cloud NEXT. Here's the run of play:
Spot a kilt, say “shortbread”
No queue, no stand. The Cobry crew are roaming Google Cloud NEXT in full tartan. Catch one of us, say “shortbread”, and we'll hand you the phone to play.
Scan your badge
One photo of your NEXT conference badge. Gemini 3.1 Flash reads the name and company straight off it. We confirm your email so we can let you know if you win.

Selfie boost (optional)
Take a selfie with the kilted Cobry crew and your raffle token gets weighted twice in the draw. We generate a 3:4 share card with your token and #NEXTinTartan to post on LinkedIn.
Win by token
After the conference we draw raffle tokens at random. If yours comes up we'll email you to sort out the prize.
Privacy
What we keep, and why.
Your badge photo goes to Gemini 3.1 Flash for a single OCR call, then up to a private Google Cloud Storage bucket so we can verify winners. The optional boost selfie is used to render your share card at a stable public URL, that's how LinkedIn previews it. Nothing is shared with third parties. One entry per badge.
